Breathing out - the autumn in Verdon


After all those sends of last two weeks we decided to try Chasteuil in Verdon to enjoy the last day of good weather. There is a new "guidebook", so I finally know where to climb there.
Chasteuil is a wee hamlet next to Castellane and the cliff is just above it.

The weather was excellent, the autumn colours were exquisite and the routes were let's say interesting. Operation gros lourdaud, 7c+/8a, old school stuff with precise footwork and the crux on the tiny crimp. Babachiffons, 8a, long and sustained climbing with some scary run-outs.
